Guest Spotlight: The BW Network - Discover Streaming Content Tailored for Black Women

Introduction to The BW Network

Even in 2023, many African-American women have experienced the frustration of trying to find a show or movie online that represents their experiences and perspectives. Enter The BW Network, a streaming service created specifically for black women by the visionary businesswoman Riqua Hailes-Turner. Launched in 2021, the network is a breath of fresh air in an industry that often neglects the voices of women of color.

Catered Content

The BW Network provides a platform for black creatives to showcase their talent and reach a wider audience. A major part of the network’s programming includes talk shows hosted by industry veterans, such as Kayla Wanakee who hosts “The Undoing.” Kayla is a talented actress who has hosted numerous shows and events. Her hosting of “The Undoing” brought the show to life and helped to build a community of black women who connect over shared experiences and interests.

The network’s content is diverse and includes everything from talk shows and dramas to documentaries and reality shows. What sets the BW Network apart is its commitment to promoting the work of black-owned businesses and creatives. We at Artform Design & Studio, a black-owned creative studio located in Los Angeles, California, were grateful and excited at the opportunity to host the filming of “The Undoing” in our Blossom studio, and collaborate with The BW Network.

For black-owned brands and businesses, The BW Network provides a unique opportunity to market content and programming to an audience that is often underrepresented in traditional advertising. As black-owned businesses continue to vie for visibility and recognition, The BW Network is a positive step forward in addressing these issues.

A Model Platform

The BW Network is an important addition to the world of streaming entertainment. By providing a platform for black women creatives to showcase their talents and promoting black-owned businesses, the network is making space for underrepresented voices in the industry. With its commitment to diversity, The BW Network is a model for how entertainment can empower and uplift black women. Similarly, Artform Design & Studio offers opportunities to work alongside like-minded creatives and other black industry professionals. So, join in, and support the BW Network with your viewership, and book Artform Design & Studio for your own pilot, podcast, e-commerce shoot, or lifestyle photoshoot today!
